Regula Magistri is a Primitivo di Gioia del Colle that expresses the deepest soul of Puglia. The grapes, harvested late from vineyards on the karst plateau of the Murge, reach a rich, concentrated ripeness, giving life to a red wine of great intensity and structure. In the glass it shows a deep red color with elegant garnet reflections, a sign of extended ageing in large oak casks followed by further bottle refinement. The bouquet is broad and enveloping, with sweet oriental spices, licorice, white pepper, dark cocoa, and red fruit jam, led by notes of Ferrovia cherry. On the palate it is full and smooth, warm and rounded, with mature tannins that caress the palate without ever overpowering it. The natural freshness of the Murge area brings balance and lift, making this a powerful yet never heavy Primitivo.
